For sale via e-Bay:
"Designed for Personal Sports and Car Comfort" was 1960's GM slogan for the Corvette, as that year's model saw steady incremental improvements.
Corvette was available with five engine option packages, the most desirable being the fuel injection.
1960 also had a couple of noticeable lasts.
It was the last year for the sylized V-shaped / crossed flags hood emblem and the last year for the sloping rear deck with protective wraparound bumper.
This specific example is finished in black over black interior and come fitted with both tops.
The soft top could not be examined upon our preliminary inspection but the owner told us it was in good condition.
Car comes equipped with:
RPO 685: 4 speed close ratio transmission and
RPO 579: Fuel Injection with high lift cam.
It also has the rare, expensive and very desirable original Airbox and the removable Hard-Top.
This car is fitted with a rebuilt engine that has covered less than 3,000 miles since being professionally rebuilt to fuel injection specs with correct cam in 1998.
Everything was balanced and blue-printed with a 10.5:1 compression as it was supposed to be the day the car left the factory.
The car is an original Fuel Injection car with the original Fuel Injection Unit and engine, however the block had to be replaced and the donor block is a 66 Chevelle 283Ci.
Fuel Injection Unit # 1925 Part # 7017320, Block Date Code: 3849852 (1966 Chevelle 283Ci)
The frame and the chrome are great, it is a rust free car, always garaged.
The paint has a few fleabites and some spidering on the hood Cf. pictures.
Overall it is an excellent driver with one of the strongest fuel injected engine you'll ever find.
Vehicle is fitted with a cd player, but the original Wonderbar Radio is in the trunk and comes with the car, along with a car cover. |
